¡Feliz domingo, mis amores! Seguramente ustedes también han conocido algunas personas que creen que para tener éxito laboralmente, hay que renunciar a la vida personal. En mi experiencia, les puedo decir que para hacer realidad lo que nos proponemos sí hay que trabajar muy duro pero también es necesario lograr equilibrar ambos para saborear nuestros logros. Happy Sunday, my loves! Comer rico: Si como yo amas los mariscos y el sushi el Japonez, el Contramar o La Docena son una gran opción para pasar el día en familia o con amigos. 

Eat good food: If you love seafood and sushi like me, Contramar, La Docena and El Japonez are great to spend the day with family or friends.

Cerrar el día con un helado: Uff!! De solo escribirlo y pensarlo se me antojo uno. Me gustan mucho Roxy, Ice Cream Nation o Joselo porque puedes llegar caminando y comértelo viendo el parque de enfrente. 

Have an ice cream: I really like Roxy, Ice Cream Nation and Joselo because you can walk and eat your dessert at the same time while watching the park in front of you.

Es perfecto para olvidar el estrés. 

Tener tiempo de calidad contigo, te ayudará a sentirte sano, tranquilo y feliz. Hoy, asegúrate de darte un espacio en el día para terminar tus pendientes personales, ir de shopping o descansar.

Having quality time will help you feel healthy, calm and happy. Today make sure you finish your personal errands, go shopping or just relax.

Es el mejor día para dormir bien. 

Tengo que aceptar que a veces me cuesta trabajo dormir bien y por eso este tema es una de mis prioridades. Lo mejor que puedes hacer es planear irte a dormir y despertarte a una hora específica. Calcula cuántas horas de sueño necesitas y quédate con ese número hasta que las cumplas. No hay nada mejor que empezar la semana después de haber descansado. 

It is the best day to sleep well.

Sometimes I don't sleep well and that is why this is one of my priorities. The best thing you can do is plan to go to sleep and wake up at a specific time. Calculate how many hours of sleep you need and keep that number until you get them. There is nothing better than starting the week after having a good night's sleep.

Este año ha estado lleno de aventuras y viajes desde que empezó. Sin embargo, por más que amemos ir de shopping y conquistar el mundo, es fundamental entender la importancia del ahorro para sentirnos tranquilos y poder hacer planes a futuro. Indeed, doing that in these times could be difficult but is never too late to keep trying. Below I give you some of the methods that have been useful to me.

El reto de las 52 semanas:

Este primer tip consiste en un reto semanal que al principio es fácil de cumplir pero conforme avanzan los meses se pone un poco más complicado. Durante un año tendrás que guardar cierta cantidad de dinero. La primera semana 10 pesos, la segunda 20 pesos y así consecutivamente. Te impresionará la cantidad que tendrás al final. 

The challenge of the 52 weeks:

This first tip consists of a weekly challenge that at first will be easy to fullfill but as the months pass it gets a bit more complicated. For a year you will have to sabe a certain amount of money. The first week 10 pesos, the second 20 pesos and so one, you will be impressed by the final amount.

El desafío de los 365 días:

Este es similar al otro pero en vez de ahorrar cada semana ahorrarás cada día. Si ahorras de peso en peso al final de la semana tendrías 28 pesos y eso lo multiplicarías por lo que guardes el resto del año.

The 365 day challenge:

This is similar to the other one but instead of saving every week you will do it every day. If you save little by little, at the end of the week you will have a good amount that later will be multiplied by what you saved the rest of the year.

Método Harv Eker:

Este método está registrado en el libro “Los secretos de la mente millonaria” del autor y es una técnica que consiste en saber en qué inviertes todo tu dinero. Para lograrlo tienes que dividir tus ganancias mensuales y destinarlas la mitad a necesidades básicas y el resto del 50% dividido entre ocio, ahorro, caridad, capacitación, inversión.

Harv Eker method:

This method is registers in the book “The secrets of the millionaire mind” of the author and is a technique that consists of knowing in what you invest all your money. To achieve this you have to divide your monthly earnings and allocate half of them to basic needs and the rest of the 50% divided between leisure, savings, charity, training, and investment.

Este libro japonés explica de la forma más simple cómo nuestra forma de economizar ha ido cambiando. Necesitas utilizar una simple libreta en la que registres tus gastos mensuales y estar conscientes de todo el dinero que gastas y así valorar aquello en lo que si vale la pena hacerlo.

This Japanese book explains in the simplest way how our way of economizing has changed. You need to use a simple notebook in which you record your monthly expenses and be aware of all the money you spend and that way you’ll be able to value what is more worthy.

Se dice que la Semana de la Moda es uno de los mejores momentos en el calendario anual de una verdadera amante de la industria ya que nos permite ver y entender el mundo de la moda resumido en seis intensos días por cada ciudad.

En febrero de este año, Nueva York me recibió con el lanzamiento de la fragancia Sí de Armani y luego me enamoró con cada una de las colecciones que vi en algunas de las pasarelas más esperadas del año. Algunas de mis favoritas fueron las de Desigual, Lacoste, Carolina Herrera y Delpozo. 

Fashion Week is one of the best moments in the annual calendar of a true lover of the industry as it allows us to see and understand the world of fashion summarized in six intense days for each city. In February of this year, New York welcomed me with the launch of the fragrance Armani Sí and then I fell in love with each of the collections I saw on some of the most expected catwalks of the year. Some of my favorites were Desigual, Lacoste, Carolina Herrera and Delpozo.

Días después en Milán tuve la oportunidad de ir al envolvente desfile de Gucci con estatuas grecorromanas y una pasarela azul inspirada en el río romano Tíber, escenario en el que Alessandro Michelle presentó una colección en la que elementos como los detalles en dorado, el animal print y los diseños con flores, fueron los protagonistas. 

Later in Milan I had the opportunity to go to the Gucci Spring 2018 Fashion Show with a blue catwalk inspired by the Roman river Tiber, where Alessandro Michelle showed a collection full of non-bodysuit glitter pieces.

También en este lugar que es uno de mis favoritos de Italia, fui al desfile de Dolce & Gabbana, que tuvo como inspiración los símbolos de la baraja de naipes. Corazones, picas, color rojo, flores y encaje estuvieron presentes en cada uno de los looks usados por algunos de los Millenials e influencers más reconocidos del mundo como Juan Pablo Zurita. 

Also in this place that is one of my favorites in Italy, I went to the Dolce & Gabbana show, which was inspired by the symbols of the deck of cards. Hearts, pikes, red, flowers and lace were  in each of the looks worn by some of the most recognized Millennials and influencers in the world as Juan Pablo Zurita.

En París pude conocer las nuevas propuestas de algunas de mis firmas favoritas como Dior y Chanel, además de recibir la gran noticia de que formaría parte del proyecto She Is Mercedes de Mercedes-Benz. 

In Paris I got to know the new collections of some of my favorite fashion brands such as Dior and Chanel, as well as receiving the great news that I would be part of She Is Mercedes. 

La Semana de la Moda de Tel Aviv, es el evento de moda más relevante de Israel en el que distintos diseñadores muestran las tendencias de cara a la próxima temporada. ¡Qué mejor manera de terminar el mes que conociendo este increíble lugar!

Tel Aviv Fashion Week is the most important fashion event in Israel in which different designers show trends for next season. I finished the month knowing this incredible place!

Coachella

Junto con H&M pude ir por primera vez al festival de música Coachella en California y usar la colaboración con la que la marca saca su alma más festivalera: H&M Loves Coachella.

With H&M, I was able to go to the Coachella Music Festival in California for the first time and wore the collaboration with which the brand brings out its most festive soul: H&M Loves Coachella.

LOS ÁNGELES

Uno de los mejores momentos del año y de los más emocionantes fue cuando renté mi departamento en Los Ángeles. Con sus playas infinitas y sus calles decoradas con palmeras es imposible resistirse ante los encantos de L.A., ciudad que ahora es mi segunda casa. 

One of the best and the most exciting things of the year was when I rented my apartment in Los Angeles. With its endless beaches and its streets decorated with palm trees it is impossible not to fall in love with L.A. the city that is now my second home.

¡Agosto fue el mes en el que por primera vez aparecí en la portada de una revista! En esta edición de InStyle pude platicar sobre lo que vivo día a día y lo mucho que he disfrutado colaborar con grandes marcas como Chanel y Louis Vuitton.

August was the month in which I first appeared on the cover of a magazine! In this edition of InStyle I was able to talk about what I live every day and how much I have enjoyed collaborating with big brands like Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

A mediados de año Andy Zurita y yo viajamos a Londres con Tommy Hilfigher para ir a su desfile y ver a Gigi Hadid como protagonista. La colección alegre de la marca, con elementos icónicos como jeans, parches, cuadros y rayas rojas, fue parte de la conversación en el Reino Unido por varias semanas. 

Andy Zurita and I traveled to London with Tommy Hilfigher to go to their fashion show and see Gigi Hadid. The brand's joyful collection, with iconic items such as jeans, patches, plaids and red stripes, was part of the conversation in the UK for weeks.

París está lleno de lugares encantadores. Cada vez que estoy en la ciudad, trato de encontrar al menos media hora para caminar y conocer lugares nuevos. Con REVOLVE pude ver otro lado de la ciudad y divertirme en grande.

Paris is filled with enchanting places. Every time I am in town I try to find at least half an hour to relax walking around. With REVOLVE I was able to know another side of the city and have a great time.

En 2017, Louis Vuitton presentó en Nueva York “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez”, curada por Olivier Saillard, director del Musée Galliera de París. La exposición traza el viaje que Louis Vuitton emprendió en 1854 (año en que la firma fue fundada), a través de los archivos de los miembros de la familia fundadora de la maison, hasta el día de hoy. 

In 2017, Louis Vuitton presented "Volez, Voguez, Voyagez" in New York, cured by Olivier Saillard, director of the Musée Galliera in Paris. The exhibition shows the journey that Louis Vuitton undertook in 1854 through the archives of the members of the maison.

SHE'S MERCEDES

El movimiento She's Mercedes creado por Mercedes-Benz para empoderar a la mujer, sin duda fue uno de mis proyectos favoritos del año. Teniendo como meta ofrecer experiencias diferentes y ayudar a conquistar nuevos horizontes, está enfocado en un nuevo concepto de logro, en el cual las mujeres exitosas comparten una vida balanceada entre lo profesional y lo personal. Este año, me invitaron a formar parte de esta iniciativa y durante la Fórmula 1 pude experimentar el poder y la adrenalina del Gran Premio de México y ver de cerca cómo Lewis Hamilton se convertía nuevamente en el #1.

The She's Mercedes movement created by Mercedes-Benz to empower women was one of my favorite projects of the year. By offering different experiences and helping to conquer new horizons, it is focused on a new concept of achievement, in which successful women share a balanced life. This year, I was invited to be in this initiative and during Formula 1 I was able to see how Lewis Hamilton became #1.

Blue paradise: Maldives

Hello my loved ones! Today, we start a new section on the blog and it's called: "I know what I want". This new sections is all about the things we love, we dream of, and those of which we're grateful for. We live in a world where it all happens so quickly, and we rarely take time to stop and enjoy those tiny pleasures and blessings we have in our lives. So yes, this might be our "it's OK to dream" section. But guess, what... for me, dreaming not always means spending a lot of money: an evening with friends, a cup of coffee, hugging both of my parents, watching a beautiful sunset and of course, some more "material" things such as buying a black birkin someday. So scroll down to get started with this new section.

I'll tell you guys that I can hardly imagine one day I don't dream of the sunny blue skies and fifty shades of blue of the Maldives. As many of you know, I got married about two years ago, and hubs and I got the chance to visit this paradise on our honeymoon. Undoubtedly, Maldives will always have a special meaning to me, and to be honest, I know what I want: return to Maldives someday. It's the lovely people, it's the blue over blue over blue, it's more than one thousand islands, it's the white sugarly-like sands and of course, all the memories of our honeymoon. I really don't know If I'm going to be able to return to the Maldives... I went there once and I'm forever grateful for that, and the Maldives will always be in my "it's OK to dream" section of my mind.

Qué tal mis queridos, hoy me da gusto contarles que decidí empezar esta nueva sección en el blog que se llama "I know what I want" o algo así como el rincón de "soñar no cuesta nada". Disculpen que me ponga un poco filosófica, pero vivimos en un mundo donde no paramos. Estamos con más actividades que nunca y dejamos poco espacio para la reflexión, y sobre todo, ser agradecidos por lo que tenemos. Esta sección no pretende ser la esquina de "lo siguiente que me quiero comprar", o "el siguiente lugar que quiero visitar". Claro, habrá publicaciones así, porque siempre es bonito soñar, pero también va a incluir intangibles e incomprables como por ejemplo: una tarde con amigos, un bonito atardecer, un sábado de no quitarse la pijama, jaja. Ahora, les advierto que esta sección también tendrá cosas como: una bolsa Birkin negra, un vestido Valentino rojo, un viaje a París con mi esposo, asistir a un desfile Chanel, Dior, Saint-Laurent o cosas así, porque como les dije antes, soñar no cuesta nada.

Estas son algunas de las ideas que tengo para esta sección, y hoy, para inaugurar, quiero platicar un poco sobre las Maldivas. Ya tuve la bendición y el regalo de poder ir ahí en mi luna de miel, y será algo que nunca olvidaré y dejaré de estar agradecida. Fue la calidez de la gente, la arena casi blanca, el cielo azul, la comida, los cientos de tonos azules y verdes del mar, y por supuesto, pasar unos días ahí con mi marido fue algo de lo más bonito que me ha pasado en la vida. Ahora, debo confesarles que Maldivas para siempre será un sueño para mi,  porque por supuesto, quiero regresar, así que este lugar ocupa en mi corazón y en mi mente el primer rincón de "soñar no cuesta nada" porque es bastante seguido que sueño (casi diario, jaja) con poder regresar...y si no puedo, con estas fotos que tomamos del paraíso me conformo.

Con esto me despido, pero los invito a que si quieren comentar abajo sobre lo que quieren o les gusta lo hagan; ya saben que me encanta escuchar su opinión.
