¿Cómo ser blogger?

¡Hola mis amores! Hace algunos días me pidieron que les contara a detalle qué estudié y cómo comencé a ser blogger de moda y los secretos para lograr crecer tanto en el blog como en redes sociales. Por eso, hoy les escribo este post en el que les revelo algunos detalles sobre mi carrera y vida profesional. Creo que el secreto es ser constante, hacer las cosas con el corazón, creer en ti y tener la convicción de que los sueños sí se convierten en realidad.

Happy Tuesday my loves! A few days ago you asked me how did I started to be a blogger and the secrets to achieve growth both in the blog and in social media. So today I write this post in which I reveal some details about my career and professional life to tell you that I believe that the secret is to be constant, to follow your heart, to believe in yourself and to have the conviction that dreams do come true.

SOBRE LA CARRERA QUE ESTUDIÉ

Estudié Diseño Textil en la Universidad Iberoamericana de la Ciudad de México y les puedo decir que fue una de las etapas más felices de mi vida. ¡Amaba ir a la universidad! ¿Por qué escogí esta carrera? Bueno primero que nada porque siempre me ha cautivado todo el proceso de creación de la tela y materiales innovadores dentro de la industria textil y todo lo relacionado a ello como por ejemplo la industria de la moda y los diseñadores tanto de nuestro país como aquellos que fundaron las firmas internacionales más reconocidas. Lo que más me gustó de esta carrera es que estudiamos las tendencias del mercado, nos enseñaron a coordinar el proceso de producción, comercialización y difusión de productos además de motivarnos a crear nuestros propios diseños y colecciones. Un año antes de terminar mi carrera, presenté mis diseños en el MBFWMx. ¡Fue una experiencia increíble que nunca olvidaré! Siempre lo he sabido, lo que más me gusta en la vida es la moda. 

ABOUT THE CAREER I STUDIED

I studied textile design at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and I can say it was one of the happiest times of my life. Why did I choose this carreer? First of all because I have always been captivated by the entire process of creation of the fabric and innovative materials within the textile industry and everything related to it, such as the fashion industry and the Mexican designers and those who founded the most recognized international brands. What I liked the most about this career is that we studied the market trends, they taught us to coordinate the production process, marketing and dissemination of products as well as motivating us to create our own designs and collections. A year before finishing my career, I showed my designs at the MBFWMx. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget! I've always known, what I like the most in life is fashion.

¿DÓNDE TRABAJÉ?

Casi terminando mi carrera estuve trabajando un año en Grupo Kaltex, que además de producir millones de metros de tela y complementos como hilo y fibras sintéticas al año, es uno de los mayores exportadores de textiles en México y América Latina. Me encantó trabajar aquí porque pude hacer varias cosas desde conocer cómo es el día a día en las fábricas de acabado textil, hilatura y prendas de vestir, hasta ver los procesos e involucrarme con el departamento de diseño, responsable de elegir tonos de mezclilla, colores, estampados y hasta del diseño gráfico. Fue aquí donde comencé a armar mis Moodboards en Pinterest inspirándome en las tendencias de color del momento.

AT WHAT COMPANY WAS I EMPLOYED?

When I almost finished my career I worked one year at Grupo Kaltex, which beside producing million meters of fabric and complements as thread and synthetic fibers, is one of the major exporters of textiles in Mexico and Latin America. I loved working here because I did several things from knowing how everything works in the factories, up to seeing the processes in the design department that is in charge of choosing colors, prints and more. It was here where I began to arm my Moodboards in Pinterest.

¿QUÉ HACÍA ANTES DE EMPEZAR MI BLOG? 

Empecé Allier Atellier justo después de que me salí de trabajar de esta empresa enorme textilera. Los primeros diseños que hice fueron vestidos para ocasiones especiales para mis amigas, para mi mamá y mi hermana. Fue así como decidí empezar un taller de vestidos a la medida.

WHAT DID I DO BEFORE STARTING MY BLOG?
I started Allier Atellier in 2013, just after I left that huge textile company. The first designs I made were dressed for special occasions for my friends, for my mom and my sister. That's how I decided to start a tailor-made clothing workshop.

SOBRE ALLIER SWIMWEAR

Este proyecto estuvo lleno de retos, emociones y sorpresas. No puedo definir exactamente cómo empezó, pero después de un buen tiempo que busqué trajes de baño diferentes a los que todas teníamos, decidí empezar esta línea confirmando que aunque podremos tener tallas similares, para que un traje te quede perfecto, tiene que estar hecho a la medida o bien, recibir unos ajustes que se adapten al tipo de cuerpo y resalten nuestros mejores atributos. Poco después de esto, empezó a tomar fuerza el blog, y cada vez había más trabajo en todos los frentes. Continué así por un par de años, hasta que empecé a descuidar algunos aspectos importantes y me tuve que replantear lo que quería hacer en mi vida y de mi vida. Así que decidí ponerle pausa a ambos proyectos y dedicarme de tiempo completo a ser editora de Pamallier.com.

ABOUT ALLIER SWIMWEAR

This project was full of challenges, emotions and surprises. I can not define exactly how it started, but after a long time I looked for different swimsuits than we all had, I decided to start this line confirming that although we can have similar sizes, for a suit to be perfect, it has to be to the measure or, to receive some adjustments that adapt to the type of body and highlight our best attributes. Shortly after this, the blog began to grow, and I had a lot of work. I continued like this for a couple of years, until I began to consider some important aspects and I had to rethink what I wanted to do in my life and my life. So I decided to pause both projects and dedicate myself full time to be editor of Pamallier.com.

¿CUÁNDO EMPECÉ A SER BLOGGER?

Esta aventura digital empezó en 2014 con el nombre Perlas y Camelias. Después de hacer unos ajustes, el sitio adoptó el nombre de Pam Allier. Todavía me acuerdo de mi primer post. Lo escribí un viernes y estuvo basado en una de mis prendas favoritas: los vestidos de flores. Hoy lucho porque el blog siga siendo referencia en moda, belleza y estilo de vida en los medios digitales. ¡Ustedes me han hecho soñar, siempre me han apoyado y les digo que cada día trataré de entregarles más y mejor contenido!

WHEN DID I START MY BLOG?
This digital adventure began in 2014 with the name Pearls and Camellias. After making some adjustments, the site changed to Pam Allier. I still remember my first post. I wrote it on a Friday and it was based on one of my favorite clothes: floral dresses. (If you want to see it, I'll leave it here: https://goo.gl/FRr8zJ) Since then we have explored together and talked about my passion for fashion, design, travel and food. Today I fight because the blog remains a reference of fashion, beauty and lifestyle in digital media. You have made me dream, always supported me and I tell you that every day I will try to deliver more and better content!

Mis tips para aprovechar hasta el último espacio en tu maleta

¡Hola mis amores! Son días de vacaciones y por eso quise hacerles este post en el que les doy mis técnicas para empacar y aprovechar hasta el último espacio en tu maleta, sin importar si vas a lugares de frío o de calor. Empacar es posiblemente el único aspecto tedioso de salir de la ciudad. Aunque lo hagas corriendo (como yo a veces ja,ja,ja) lo más importante es llegar a tu destino con todo lo indispensable y evitar descubrir que no tienes nada que ponerte, ¡a todas nos ha pasado! Para descartar esta idea, te dejo esta mini guía y te platico cómo empaco para ir a lugares opuestos.

Hello my loves! The holidays (in Mexico City) are here days and that's why I wanted to make this post in which I give my techniques to pack and take advantage of the last space in your suitcase, regardless of whether you go to places of cold or to the beach. Packing is possibly the only tedious aspect of leaving the city. Even if you do it running (as I sometimes ha ha ha) the most important thing is to reach your destination with all the essentials and avoid discovering that you have nothing to wear, it has happened to all of us! To discard this idea, I leave you this mini guide where I tell you how to pack how to pack in the best way.

Esto es lo que puedes encontrar en mi maleta para frío y nieve

Definitivamente cuando voy a lugares de frío es cuando más trabajo me cuesta empacar porque la ropa es mucho más grande de lo normal y por lo general únicamente llevo dos maletas por lo que tengo que hacer que todos mis looks y outfits quepan (ja,ja,ja) y funcione de la mejor manera. ¡Es todo un reto!

Definitely when I go to places of cold is when I work more hard to pack because the clothes are much larger than normal and usually only carry two suitcases so I have to make all my outfits fit and work in the best way. It's a challenge!

Sobre las maletas que uso

Muchos de ustedes me han preguntado qué hay dentro de las maletas que salen en mis fotos. La maleta grande es la que siempre documento en el avión y la chica es mi carry on luggage. En la segunda llevo mi laptop, mi cargador, el cargador de mi celular, un estuche con varios lentes, mi tenaza, unos zapatos y uno o dos looks por cualquier cosa e imprevisto que se me pudiera llegar a presentar (como cuando me quedé en Milán unos días sin maleta). Esta maletita es lo último que armo y siempre empiezo con la grande. Del lado derecho pongo ropa y del izquierdo trato de acomodar todos los zapatos que voy a usar.

Many of you have asked me what is inside the suitcases that appear in my photos. The big suitcase is the one I always document and the small one is the one I carry with me on the plane. In the second one I pack my laptop, my charger, the charger of my phone, a case with several sunglasses, some shoes and one or two looks for anything and unforeseen that could be presented to me (like when I stayed in Milan a few days without my suitcase). This suitcase is the last thing I put together and I always start with the big one. On the right side I put clothes on and on the left I try to fit all the shoes I'm going to use.

Como voy a esquiar y a la nieve trato de llevar pocos zapatos porque me di cuenta de que no los uso tanto así que llevo dos pares de botas para la nieve que son súper grandes y ahí se me va la mitad de mi maleta. En ese mismo espacio esta vez metí dos pares de zapatos en bolsitas para evitar que se ensucie la maleta y unos tenis para correr porque de Whistler tuve que irme directo a Londres. Siempre llevo tenis puestos para el aeropuerto, ¡no puedo viajar sin ellos! Después de todo esto, guardo mis trajes para esquiar y lleno los laterales de la maleta con calcetines y guantes para esquiar y más.

Since I'm going skiing I try to wear a few shoes because I realized that I do not wear them so much so I wear two pairs of snow boots that are super big. In that same space this time I put two pairs of shoes in bags to avoid dirtying my suitcase and some running shoes because of Whistler I had to go straight to London. I always bring tennis to the airport, I can not travel without them! After all this, I pack my ski suits and fill the sides of the suitcase with ski socks and gloves and more.

Lo siguiente que empaco son mis básicos: underwear, jeans, pantalones negros de semi piel, playeras de manga larga en colores neutros y blusas más monas por si tengo una cena o algo así al igual que unos pantalones con diferentes estampados o texturas y un par de jumpsuits. Otra prenda que es de mis infalibles son suéteres (siempre trato de llevar seis o más para combinar). Por último meto en la maleta mis cosas de baño, –shampoo, crema hidratante, makeup en una bolsita que amo– una chamarra para esquiar y un par de abriguitos  de colores. 

The next thing I pack are my basics: underwear, jeans, black semi-leather pants, long-sleeved shirts in neutral colors and cutest blouses in case I have a dinner or something like pants with different patterns or textures and a pair of jumpsuits. Another item that is my infallible are sweaters (I always try to bring six or more to combine). Finally, I put my bath stuff in the suitcase, -shampoo, moisturizer, makeup in a bag that I love, a ski jacket and a couple of colored coats.

Esto es lo que puedes encontrar en mi maleta de playa

Empacar para ir a la playa es MIL VECES más fácil. Primero que nada, todo ocupa menos espacio y se acomoda mejor. Esto es ideal ya que puedo llevar muchísimos looks en una sola maleta. En este caso, lo primero que empaco son los zapatos y sandalias (también en bolsitas), de este lado meto también una bolsa con bronceadores, protector solar y mi maletita de baño. ¡Todavía me sobra espacio! Entonces meto algunas bolsas de playa grandes. ¡Me fascinan y son el complemento ideal!

Packing to go to the beach is THOUSAND TIMES easier. First of all, everything takes up less space and fits better. This is ideal since I can wear many looks in one suitcase. In this case, the first thing I pack are the shoes and sandals (also in bags), on this side I also put a bag with sunscreen, sunscreen and my bath suitcase. I still have plenty of space! Then I put some big beach bags. I just love them. 

Del otro lado meto mis básicos de playa: Trajes de baño completos, bikinis, vestiditos ligeros, pantalones, tops y accesorios. Casi siempre guardo en la maleta grande uno o dos estuches con lentes para escoger los que vayan mejor con mi outfit. 

On the other side I put my beach basics: full bathing suits, bikinis, light dresses, pants, tops and accessories. I almost always keep in the big suitcase one or two cases with lenses to choose the ones that go best with my outfit.

Paso 1: La importancia del protector solar

Cuando llevas una chamarra XXL, orejeras, una bufanda gigante y botas de nieve lo último que tenemos en mente es el protector solar. Por lo general la prioridad número uno es mantenerte en calor y tener la piel hidratada. Pero las temperaturas más frías pueden engañarte ya que incluso la exposición al sol de bajo nivel se acumula y ciertamente puedes desarrollar daño solar relacionado con los rayos UV hasta en los lugares más fríos.

When you wear a XXL jacket, earmuffs, a giant scarf and snow boots, the last thing we have in mind is sunscreen. Generally the number one priority is to stay warm and have hydrated skin. But colder temperatures can fool you because even low-level sun exposure builds up and you can certainly develop sun damage related to UV rays even in the coldest places.

El clima frío, húmedo y ventoso junto con la calefacción puede afectar tu piel. Afortunadamente, hay una gran variedad de productos de belleza que nos ayudan a revivir y rejuvenecer la piel cansada y sin brillo. Cold, damp and windy weather together with heating can affect your skin. Fortunately, there is a wide variety of beauty products that help us revive and rejuvenate tired and dull skin. The important thing is to apply a serum on clean skin and then the moisturizer to potentiate the effect of both. Here some of my favorite creams:

Paso 3: Maquillaje a prueba de agua

Este tipo de maquillaje no es únicamente para los climas cálidos. Si vas a esquiar y quieres usar un poco de maquillaje, te recomiendo asegurarte de todo sea aprueba de agua: lápiz de cejas, delineador, rímel, corrector, lápiz labial. Porque lo último que quieres es quedar atrapado en una tormenta de nieve sorpresa y sufrir las consecuencias (a mi ya me pasó una vez ja,ja,ja).

Step 3: Water proof makeup

This type of makeup is not only for warm climates. If you are going to ski and you want to use some makeup, I recommend you to make sure everything is approved by water: eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, concealer, lipstick. Because the last thing you want is to get caught in a surprise snowstorm and suffer the consequences (it happened to me once, ha ha ha).

¡Hola mis amores! Ya llegó la primavera y con ello mis tan adorados días soleados. Esta estación me fascina porque nos permite idear looks divertidos sin tanto calor. Es una de las propuestas más arriesgadas de la temporada pero está más que lista para quedarse, ya que recrea una silueta que habíamos olvidado y logra dar un toque de elegancia y estilo a tu look.

Los nuevos experimentos de Zara: realidad aumentada

¡Feliz jueves mis amores! Por si no lo sabían, Zara es una de las tiendas que más me gustan porque cada vez que voy encuentro nuevas propuestas en diseño y accesorios. Estoy convencida de que aquí puedes encontrar cosas increíbles sin tener que gastar tanto. Además, siempre está buscando innovar y darle un giro a la industria de la moda. Si ven mis fotos en Instagram, ¡llevo puestas más prendas de esa marca de las que se imaginan!

In case you didn't know, Zara is one of my favorite stores because every time I go I find cool clothes and accessories. I'm convinced that here you can find incredible things without having to spend too much. In addition, they're always looking forward and they're always innovating. If you see my photos on Instagram, I wear more clothes of that brand than you can imagine!

Con una aplicación de Zara que es necesario descargar, el siguiente paso es apuntar con la cámara del teléfono para ver aparecer a dos modelos. Las mujeres, de tamaño real, bailan y pasean por el escaparate con las últimas prendas de Zara. Todo esto es producto de la realidad aumentada y me parece súper divertido y cool que puedas ver outfits completos usados por modelos.

Hi my loves! As I promised in my last post, I'm going to write about the destination in Mexico that I visited this week: San Miguel de Allende. This city was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The colonial vibe and its historical and architectural offer, make it one of the favorite places both for the people who live in Mexico City as well as for foreigners who visit our country. Si visitas el Jardín Allende, a dos cuadras puedes encontrar este lugar que ofrece una experiencia culinaria única al crear platillos con lavanda, uno de los productos más conocidos de esta región. If you visit Jardin Allende, two blocks away you can find this place that offers a unique culinary experience by creating dishes with lavender, one of the best known products of this region. Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar at the Rosewood Hotel is one of the best bars and restaurants. Here Pablo and I have experienced incredible evenings and nights with a panoramic view of San Miguel. 5 cosas que hago cuando regreso de un viaje largo

¡Hola mis amores! Ya conocen mi fascinación por los viajes pero también para mí es fundamental estar en mi casa, cerca de Pablo, de mi familia y de mis amigos. Por eso hay días como hoy en los que tengo menos de 24 horas antes de irme nuevamente y me gusta aprovecharlos al máximo. Para que conozcas un poco más sobre mi día a día, te digo qué hago exactamente cuando regreso de un viaje largo.

Hi my loves! They already know my fascination for travel but also for me it is essential to be in my house, close to Pablo, my family and my friends. That's why there are days like today where I have less than 24 hours before I leave again and I like to make the most of them. So that you know a little more about my day to day, I tell you what I do exactly when I come back from a long trip.

1. Veo a Pablo.

Amo llegar a mi casa y platicar horas con él. No importa si es demasiado temprano o tarde, tratamos de estar pasar el mayor tiempo posible juntos. Casi siempre es él quien me lleva al aeropuerto o trata de alcanzarme si estoy de viaje aunque sea unos días.

I love coming to my house and talking with him for hours. It does not matter if it's too early or late, we try to spend as much time as possible together. It is almost always he who takes me to the airport or tries to reach me if I'm traveling even if it is a few days.

2. Checo mis mails.

A veces, cuando estoy fuera por muchos días y de arriba para abajo se me complica checar todos los pendientes y responder los mails que recibo. Generalmente cuando llego se me quita el sueño y me pongo en acción (jajaja).

En París estuve feliz con mi hermana, pasamos días increíbles y nos divertimos mucho.

When I am with my parents, with my sister, with my niece and all my family I fill up good energy to keep fighting and achieve my goals. In Paris I was very happy with my sister, we had incredible days and we had a lot of fun.

Desde ir al salón a hacerme manicure y pedicure hasta usar una sheet mask o hacerme un facial, siempre que me bajo del avión trato de sumarle algo así a mi rutina de belleza.

48 horas en París: ¿Qué hacer y a dónde ir?

¡Feliz lunes mis amores! Como ya lo han visto en mi Instagram e Instagram Stories –gracias infinitas por todos sus comentarios– estoy en París. Y aunque parezca difícil de creer, las primeras veces que estuve en esta ciudad en Fashion Week casi no tenía tiempo de turistear entonces aprendí a recorrer la ciudad en sólo algunas horas. Pocas ciudades se pueden comparar con las atracciones culturales, los restaurantes, cafés y la vida nocturna que puedes encontrar en París. Pensando en lo difícil que es elegir entre tantas opciones, te escribí esta guía definitiva para aprovechar al máximo París en 48 horas.

Happy Monday my loves! As you have seen in my Instagram and Instagram Stories - thank you for all your comments - I'm in Paris. And although it seems hard to believe, the first times I was in this city in Fashion Week I had almost no time to visit, so I learned to travel the city in just a few hours. Few cities can be compared to the cultural attractions, restaurants, cafes and nightlife that you can find in Paris. Thinking about how difficult it is to choose between so many options, I wrote you this definitive guide to make the most of Paris in 48 hours.

DÍA 1: Desde las mansiones en el barrio de Le Marais, hasta deliciosos snacks a medianoche

DAY 1: From the mansions in Le Marais, to delicious snacks at midnight

EN LA MAÑANA

Empieza el día comprando un delicioso croissant en la panadería Moisan para después caminar por la Place des Vosges, la plaza más antigua de París. Aquí en el barrio de Le Marais te sorprenderás al ver la cantidad de tiendas, bares, hoteles e importantes instituciones culturales que puedes encontrar. Lo único que tienes que hacer es escoger entre el Museo Carnavalet, el Museo Picasso o la Maison Européene de la Photographie. Si te gusta ir de compras, cerca de aquí encontrarás las calles que conducen a Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, el mejor lugar de la ciudad para hacer shopping.

IN THE MORNING
Start the day by buying a delicious croissant at the Moisan bakery and then walk along the Place des Vosges, the oldest in Paris. Here in the neighborhood of Le Marais you'll be surprised to see the amount of shops, bars, hotels and important cultural institutions that you can find. All you have to do is choose between the Carnavalet Museum, the Picasso Museum or the Maison Européene de la Photographie. If you like to go shopping, near here you'll find the streets that lead to Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, the best place in the city for shopping.

A MEDIO DÍA

Desde el Marais, cruza el río Sena por el Pont de Sully hasta el Institut du Monde Arabe, que alberga una excelente colección de arte y una cafetería en la azotea con una vista increíble al Sena. Después de un paseo por los alrededores te recomiendo almorzar en La Palette, un café que ya es un clásico.

Walking from the Marais, cross the Seine river through the Pont de Sully to the Institut du Monde Arabe, which houses an excellent art collection and a rooftop café with an incredible view of the Seine. After a walk around, I recommend having lunch at La Palette, a café that is already a classic.

POR LA TARDE

Desde aquí, te recomiendo dar un paseo en barco y tomar un helado de Berthillon en Ile St-Louis, antes de ir a la Ile de la Cité y visitar el Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation y Notre-Dame.

From here, I recommend you take a boat trip and have a Berthillon ice cream in Ile St-Louis, before going to the Ile de la Cité and visit the Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation and Notre-Dame.

EN LA NOCHE

Uno de mis lugares favoritos para cenar es la terraza de Le Bar du Marché y luego me gusta cruzar el río para ir a bailar en alguno de los lugares cercanos. Saliendo, puedes cenar tarde en Au Pied de Cochon, que está abierto las 24 horas.

AT NIGHT
One of my favorite places to dine is the terrace of Le Bar du Marché and then I like to cross the river to go dancing in one of the nearby places. Going out, you can dine late at Au Pied de Cochon, which is open 24 hours a day.

DÍA 2: Museos, naturaleza y buena comida

EN LA MAÑANA

Si quieres ir al Louvre, el mejor momento del día es temprano, antes de que la multitud llegue (y de preferencia entre semana). Si quieres otro plan, cruza el Pont des Arts y dirígete hacia el sur hasta llegar a la iglesia más antigua de la ciudad, Eglise St-Germain-des-Prés. Aquí está otro café que amo: Le Rostand. Después puedes caminar hasta el Jardin du Luxembourg e ir al Musée National du Luxembourg que tiene grandes exposiciones de arte.

DAY 2: Museums, nature and good food

IN THE MORNING
If you want to go to the Louvre, the best time of the day is early, before the crowd arrives (and preferably during the week). If you want another plan, cross the Pont des Arts and head south until you reach the oldest church in the city, Eglise St-Germain-des-Prés. Here is another coffee that I love: Le Rostand. Then you can walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg and go to the Musée National du Luxembourg which has great art exhibitions.

A MEDIODÍA

Desde ese punto puedes subirte al metro de Jacques Bonsergent y pasear por el Canal St-Martin bordeado de árboles y románticos puentes que llevan a las mejores tiendas y cafés junto al agua.

AT NOON
From this point you can get on Jacques Bonsergent metro and walk along the St-Martin Canal lined with trees and romantic bridges that lead to the best shops and cafes by the water.

POR LA TARDE

Si te gusta el arte moderno, te recomiendo visitar la colección del Museo de Arte Moderno de la Ciudad de París. Desde aquí, puedes caminar por Champs-Elysées hasta llegar a la torre Eiffe y el Arco del Triunfo que está recién renovado para ver las luces de la avenida.

IN THE AFTERNOON
If you like modern art, I recommend you visit the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris. From here, you can walk through the Champs-Elysées until you reach the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, which is newly renovated to see the lights of the avenue.

EN LA NOCHE

En el Palais de Tokyo puedes tomar un drink en el bar hecho por expertos del lugar y disfrutar de la vista al Sena. Luego, para un plan más relajado puedes cenar en Le Relais de l'Entrecote, mi restaurante favorito en París. ¡Pide la carne con papas fritas! 

AT NIGHT
At the Palais de Tokyo you can have a drink at the bar made by local experts and enjoy the view of the Seine. Then, for a more relaxed plan you can dine at Le Relais de l'Entrecote, my favorite restaurant in Paris. Order the meat with french fries!

Hoy en día, es un elemento esencial para los maquillistas de la maison que trabajan en backstage y para mí se ha convertido en parte fundamental de mi rutina. ¡Lo que me más gusta es que es tan fácil de aplicar que no necesitas espejo! ABOUT DIOR LIP GLOW
This beauty item was created in 2009 under the direction of Peter Philips, who wanted to give women the benefits of a light colored ink combined with the comfort of a balm. Nowadays, it is an essential element for the makeup artists of the maison who work in backstage and for me it has become a fundamental part of my routine. What I like most is that it is so easy to apply that you do not need a mirror! (LOL)

#PFW: La colección con la que Dior celebra la libertad y el feminismo

¡Hola mis amores! Cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de venir a París, vuelvo a comprobar que es uno de mis lugares favoritos. Amo caminar por sus calles, disfrutar de sus cafés, ver la Torre Eiffel y comer en sus deliciosos restaurantes. La ciudad del amor es también la ciudad de la moda, de la revolución, del cambio y de la innovación y Dior nos lo recuerda en cada una de sus nuevas colecciones. A continuación, les platico un poco sobre esta nueva propuesta de la firma francesa y sobre el look que usé para la ocasión. 

Hi my loves! Every time I have the opportunity to come to Paris, I check again that it is one of my favorite places. I love walking through its streets, enjoying its cafes, seeing the Eiffel Tower and eating in its delicious restaurants. The city of love is also the city of fashion, revolution, change and innovation and Dior reminds us of each of its new collections. Keep reading to see a little about this new collection and about the look I used for the occasion.

LA COLECCIÓN

Para este Otoño – Invierno 2018/2019, Maria Grazia Chiuri, la directora artística de la maison, continúa con su manifiesto feminista en su primera colección de prêt-à-porter  inspirándose en el movimiento de liberación de la mujer en Francia, que comenzó en mayo de 1968. Por otro lado, la marca contrarresta abiertamente el retorno del uniforme, para regresar a lo que este significa en realidad: el individuo prima sobre las diferencias de género, y la igualdad de derechos y roles predomina sobre todas las cosas. 

THE COLLECTION
For this Fall - Winter 2018/2019, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of the maison, continues with her feminist manifesto in her first prêt-à-porter collection inspired by the liberation movement of women in France, which began in May 1968. On the other hand, the brand openly counterbalances the return of the uniform, to bring us back to what it signi es: the individual taking precedence over gender differences, and the equality of rights and roles which remains the great conquest of that time.

La primera modelo que desfiló en el jardín del Museo Rodín de París usó una prenda con el lema — “C'est non, non, non et non!”— seguida por una una exhibición constante de peace and love, flower power y viejas pancartas del periódico feminista parisino La Voix des Femmes y portadas de números de revistas como Vogue, Harper's Bazaar o Elle publicadas a lo largo de aquel año. La escenografía indicaba que los grandes cambios políticos y la moda siempre han estado relacionados. 

The first model that walked in the garden of the Rodín Museum in Paris used a garment with the motto - "C'est non, non, non et non!" - followed by a constant display of peace and love, flower power and old banners of the Parisian feminist newspaper La Voix des Femmes and covers of numbers of magazines like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar or Elle published throughout that mythical year. The scenography indicated that major political changes and fashion have always gone hand in hand.

Me fascinaron las prendas en patchwork, los estampados esotéricos, las faldas de ballet y plisadas combinadas con chamarras con un toque masculino. ¡Amé todos los accesorios y detalles! 

I loved the patchwork garments, esoteric prints, ballet skirts and pleats combined with jackets with a masculine touch. I loved all the accessories!

EL LOOK QUE USÉ PARA IR AL DESFILE

Como hacía mucho frío en París, decidí combinar prendas de mezclilla con un poncho XXL y mini bolsa Lady Dior. Para completar el look, usé unos tacones slingback de charol negro y cinta J'Adior y una boina de piel negra. ¡Espero que les haya gustado! 

Because it was very cold in Paris, I decided to mix denim with a poncho and a Lady Dior mini bag. To complete the look, I wore black slingback heels with J'Adior ribbon and a black beret. I hope you liked it!

Girl Crush with Bobbi Brown

Just a few days ago, I went to NY to spend some time with the amazing Bobbi Brown team, as they invited some girls for the launch of the most recent lipstick line. Of course, they planned the whole thing amazingly well, and every day we got to spend some time with different iconic girls ( #bbgirlcrush). Ill let you do the math... but my fave #bbgirlcrush is tall and worked in the fashion biz for a while... 

 Well, let cut to the chase and let's revisit together this amazing experience!

// Buen día mis preciosos, hoy les hago un "recap" del viaje y las actividades que hace unas semanas tuve en Nueva York con Bobbi Brown. Ustedes saben que amo todo lo relacionado con belleza (colecciono lipsticks, por cierto), y trabajar con una marca como Bobbi Brown siempre es una delicia. 

Durante el viaje, conocimos la nueva línea de labiales de la marca, y por supuesto, la marca organizó actividades diarias donde conocimos en tres días diferentes a mujeres inspiradoras que son #bbgirlcrush ... bueno, no hay traducción exacta, pero lo que #bbgirlcrush quiere decir, es que son unas buenazas en lo que hacen, y por supuesto, llevan una larga carrera inspirando a mucha gente.

1st Day 

There's beauty in simplicity, and nature has it's own way of painting a smile in every girls' face when it comes to the flower world. Our first #bbgirlcrush were both Lisa Salzer and Tess Casey. They both make beautiful floral arrangements and of course we had a crash-course on how to make the perfect flower crown. Limitless imagination is key, and of course, Bobbi Brown trated us like Manhattan Royalty during the workshop. If you already know me, you would know I LOVE flowers...

El primer día, conocimos  Lisa Salzer y Tess Casey, quienes a través de su exquisito gusto se han convertido en celebridades en cuanto a la decoración con flores se refiere. Ya me conocen, me encantan las flores, así que fue mi hit que nos enseñaran los principios para hacer el arreglo perfecto, y por supuesto, salimos cada una con una preciosa corona en la cabeza!

2nd Day

You know me well, there's nothing I like more than having breakfast in bed... 

On the second day, we had a bunch of activities, and of course visiting equinox was one of them. I got to know Bec Donlan and Traci Copeland... to be honest, they almost get me killed, but after making a quick summer recap and If I'm honest to myself, I skipped most of my gym time during summer... so these girls made me pay the bills =)

After our gym time, we had a "makeup class" with the Bobbi Brown makeup artist team and after that, we had some time to create streetstyle content in SOHO. Well, you know I both love dressing pretty and walking down the concrete runway =) //

El tercer día estuvo lleno de actividades y por cierto, casi muero en la clase que tuvimos en equinox... si me han seguido en mis redes, se habrán dado cuenta que no anduve muy disciplinada en el ejercicio durante verano, así que tengo que retomar ahora mi rutina con ejercicio, jaja. 

Bueno, después de pasar por Equinox, fuimos a que nos dieran un curso sobre makeup con el "makeup" artist de Bobbi Brown. Después de esto, salimos todas guapas a hacer fotos en Soho, y ya me conocen, me encantó la idea, jaja. 

Friends from Spain... we happy girls =). That day, we also had an amazing cocktail- making class with Yola Mezcal founders Yola Jimenez and Gina Correll. Imagination is key people... never forget to have fun in every single way possible... 

3rd Day

Fave lunch ever... meeting  Jenna Lyons and being served by chefs Kristen Kish and Missy Robbins. AMAZING food, brilliant company, and of course, I got tons of insporation from all the #bbgirlcrushes I met during the trip. If one thing I learnt from all these amazing girls is: do what you love and every single day try to be better than the day before!

 There´s no better place to party than with the NYC skyline as backdrop... and of course, I loved the Girl Crush Party with Bobbi Brown. Photobooth, amazing tones of pink as in their latest lipstick line, and of course, the best part of all: inspiration to be the future´s #bbgirlcrush.

Father's Day with Timex

My loves, today I'm sharing this special post with my Dad. I've partnered with Timex for this special occasion to celebrate our wonderful Dads and the joy of spending time with them. Nowadays,our schedules packed, and time is the most precious gift we could ever hope for.
