Holiday beach outfit ideas...

Happy Monday loves... so I spent a few days away on the beautiful beaches of the Mexican Pacific, and I got questioned a lot about my packing (how many cases I use for trips) and my choices for clothing... roll down to see the answers =)

Unlike many of you might thing, I do travel light. For this 4 day stay Puerto Vallarta, I packed my carry on (with my shoes), and half of a big-enough suitcase to comply with the federal-avation-I-dont-know-what-standards (I married an engineer, have I told you? so he bought the max size permittable, not an inch bigger), the other half of the suitcase for was hubs...

Having said that, always and forever, versatility is key, and this lovely white dress is a perfect example. When given the impossibility to pack our whole closet, we must start to find some outfit ideas that can be used during the day and during our evening events, and in my honest opinion, accesorizing is key. For example, when used during day, I used this dress with flat sandals, BIG shades, and my beach bag... but then, we had an event on the evening, so I changed the outfit for light (almost none make up), platform sandals, nicer jewlery and a little evening clutch... and I'm sure just a few noticed it was the same dress, haha.

Before saying goodbye for now, I must adress on beach etiquette... I've been asked a lot for example if denim is OK, if closed pumps are proper for evening events... and if white is OK of you´re in a wedding related event (of course on a wedding is absolutely prohibited, haha). Well, I must say it always depends... and we must all agree that holidays on the beach or on a hotter climate than our hometown always means lighter fabrics and less clothing... but it does not mean trashy or improper... for example, this dress has back cleavage, which I absolutely adore (and so hubs), and it's short on leg height, but not as much as a jumper. Having said that, I believe less clothing is always OK, but being careful on not looking too cheap (and I don't mean brands...). Denim for example, I believe is completely permitted... and if it´s on lighter colors better yet. For the record, I always pack a pair of jeans in my beach holiday... you never know if you might need them. About white, I believe is a must for beach holidays... if it's not for a wedding of course... white is beautiful... always and forever. Flats during day and adding some height for the night is absolutely my choice, altough sometimes flats during the night might work too... althought I've found my legs look better with some height (there goes a free tip for you ladies), but the golden rule will always be: smile and keep it classy.

Buen lunes queridos!!! Espero hayan descansado y estén listos para nuestras últimas semanas de este 2015. Aprovechando que anduve unos días en la playa, decidí hacer este post para aquellos que empiecen a salir en estos días a festejar con sus familiares y amigos esta época navideña y de año nuevo. Si por algo tienen planeada una salida a un destino con un poco más de calor que la Ciudad de México, este outfit les va a gustar.

Seguido me preguntan por ahí sobre lo que me llevo a destinos de calor para después de estar en la playa o en la alberca y con qué lo combino de zapatos... es decir, la etiqueta sobre si está OK sandalias para la noche, o deben ser tacones;  si está bien gladiadoras o estas son únicamente para la playa, y también me preguntan sobre la ropa. ¿Es correcto un vestido blanco? (o parece de boda), ¿puedo usar pantalones largos para salir en la noche?, ¿Mezcilla en destinos de calor es aceptada o tienen que ser "shorts" únicamente? Y mi respuesta siempre es y será la misma... TODO DEPENDE. Si el destino es playero o de más calor que la ciudad donde vivimos, creo, tendremos todo el derecho a andar un poco más destapaditas, jaja... es decir, shorts, jumpers, y vestiditos para la noche siempre serán una buena opción... lo que creo no está permitido, es andar destapadas en un clima frío... creo esto desentona y nos hace hacer el ridículo únicamente... ahora si de plano nos toca un huracán y no estábamos planeadas, esa es otra historia, jaja.

Les voy a hablar sobre este vestidito que encontré perfecto para usar en las tardes o en los compromisos que tengamos en la noche en nuestras vacaciones. Está lo suficientemente bonito para verse arreglado, pero si se combina con algo como tenis (blancos) o unas sandalias, también puede usarse para encima del traje... y como siempre, la versatilidad es clave. Me gusta los detalles de la espalda con escote... (opino que el escote en la espalda es muy muy sexy, por cierto) y que tiene un listón que se "amarra" en la parte de enfrente. También me gusta que tiene un poco de encaje... y si se combina con unos zapatos más elegantes, puede usarse hasta para un "cocktail" de noche. (claro en destino de playa...jaja)

Por último y antes de despedirme, les quiero recordar que además de buscar versatilidad, podemos cambiar totalmente un look con los accesorios... por ejemplo, una mascada colorida y lentes grandes y este vestidito esto para usarse con el traje de baño... con un collar bonito, sandalias con tacón, poco de "lipstick" y un clutch pequeño, y el look cambió a noche en dos pasos... es más igual y la gente ni cuenta se dió que fue el mismo.
