OVERSIZED look 

HOw´s your week so far my dearest? Mine´s been a total madness. Work, work, work on these final days of the year.

Today´s post is all about the oversized look that we´ve seen in every single runway and magazine.

My grandma used to say that from fashion, one must only use what makes you feel comfortable. We must understand, that most of the runway looks are used by 6`0, 85 pound models. This oversized thing got me from the beginning. I loved the sweaters, the pants and the jackets since I saw them on the magazines, and this post is about my story and experience with this trend.

I decided I needed to try this trend, so I tried to use some oversized pants with an oversized sweater. I tried it with five different bags and heels and didn`t fell any comfortable. Then I tried to change the oversized sweater for an oversized jacket….and guess what, again, it didn´t work. I realized that maybe I needed to change something in my outfit, and decided to change an oversized piece for a non-oversized one. So I kept my oversized sweater and used it with my regular jeans; the result, I loved it. Then I changed the oversized top and changed to oversized pants witn a non-oversized top and I loved it too. After some experimentation, I realized that for me, the oversized trend worked only in one piece of my outfit. That´s the beauty of fashion, that we can keep what works fine with type of body and makes us feel comfortable.

For this post, I used my fave jeans with some suede booties and a silk bowtie blouse, and yes, the oversized jacket with the Chanel like cloth that made me dream of someday owning my little black jacket from Chanel.

look OVERSIZED

Feliz inicio de semana!!! Aquí en el DF ya empieza a hacer más frío y todos mis sweaters, abrigos y ropa más abrigadora lo sabe, haha. De ninguna manera se compara con lo que tienen en otros países, pero para nosotros ya está refrescando.

Hoy vamos a platicar un poco sobre el look “oversized”. Me gusta, es más, me encanta pero tenemos que tener cuidado al usarlo. Les voy a contar, que yo no soy nada alta. Quizás el promedio de la niña mexicana, pero ando por ahí de los 1.66  mts de altura. He intentado ponerme abrigo o sweater “oversized” junto con pantalones o falda “oversied”… la verdad, me veo fatal. Fue después de varios intentos, que me di cuenta que lo que mejor que me queda a mi es usar únicamente una prenda “oversized”. Si uso un abrigo o sweater así, entonces la falda, los jeans o los pantalones tienen que ser ajustados. Si uso pantalones o falda “oversized” entonces la blusa tiene que ser ajustada. Debo confesarles que me di cuenta de esto un rato después de batallar en el espejo, pero volví a comprobar el principio de la moda nos decían nuestras abuelas: de la moda, lo que te acomoda. Y este principio, es el que me ha llevado a amar este mundo; escoger solamente lo que nos queda y nos hace sentir cómodas y guapas.

Para este post, usé un abrigo oversized con unos jeans ajustados y tacones que estilizaran mi figura y no me hicieran ver como que traía puesta ropa de mi papá, haha. Esta tendencia del look “oversized” creo llegó para quedarse, y recuerden que lo más importante es que la apropien y adapten para que sea algo que las tenga cómodas. Añadan su preciosa sonrisa y tendrán un outfit perfecto.
