Cruise 2021: El recap con mis pasarelas favoritas

¡Hola, mis amores! Amo estar de vuelta escribiéndoles en mi blog. La vida nos cambió en marzo de 2020, y a un año de aquellos eventos –que no han terminado en su totalidad– los efectos comienzan a mostrarse en la sociedad, la música, el arte, nuestra forma de interactuar con otros y la moda, la cual no es ajena a lo que sucede a nivel mundial. En pocas palabras, los efectos pospandémicos se ven reflejados en las nuevas colecciones Cruise. Recordemos que estas originalmente surgieron de la necesidad de tener prendas de vestir para vacacionar e irse de crucero a lugares tropicales. Hoy en día han evolucionado hasta convertirse en piezas que marcan la transición entre el verano y el otoño. En este post te platico un poco sobre dos de mis favoritas, para que puedas retomar y aplicar todas esas tendencias que llegaron para quedarse.

Today they have evolved into pieces that mark the transition between summer and fall. In this post I will tell you a little about two of my favorites, so that you can wear all those new and amazing trends.

DIOR

En una plática con la revista VOGUE, Maria Grazia Chiuri reveló que esta nueva colección surgió durante el confimamiento parisino, mientras reorganizaba su clóset y todo su departamento para hacer espacio para una máquina de Pilates. Para proyectar ese sentimiento de movimiento, la nueva colección de Dior Cruise se presentó en el Estadio Panatenaico, justo donde los antiguos griegos se ejercitaban alrededor del año 330 a.C. Debido a las limitaciones actuales, al desfile solo acudieron prensa local y clientes del área, quienes disfrutaron la actuación de la cantante grecoestadounidense Ionna Gika. Chiuri incorporó a su colección el traje blanco de Marlene Dietrich en forma de homenaje y para recordar aquella vieja fotografía del ícono vestida de Leda. Sin dejar a un lado la historia de la casa de moda, Chiuri reconstruyó la memorable Bar Jacket al quitarle el forro para mostrar cómo luce durante su fabricación. 

In an interview with VOGUE Magazine, Maria Grazia Chiuri revealed that this new collection emerged during the Parisian confinement, while she was reorganizing her closet and her entire apartment to make room for a Pilates machine. To project that feeling of movement, the new Dior Cruise collection was unveiled at the Panathenaic Stadium, right where the ancient Greeks exercised around 330 BC. Due to current limitations, the show was only attended by local press and area patrons, who enjoyed a performance by Greek-American singer Ionna Gika. Chiuri added Marlene Dietrich's white suit to her collection as a tribute and to remember that old photograph of the icon dressed as Leda. Without neglecting the history of the fashion house, Ella Chiuri rebuilt the memorable Bar Jacket by removing the lining to show what it looks like during its manufacture.

Aunque nos hemos centrado en destacar “la ropa deportiva de Dior”, hay un mensaje que no podemos dejar a un lado: la incorporación de la comodidad a nuestros atuendos diarios. Con esta nueva colección, Dior le hace un guiño a las nuevas generaciones que ven la moda como una forma de expresión sin sacrificar la comodidad y la tranquilidad, pero también es una de las enseñanzas que nos dejó la pandemia, el sentirse a gusto, sin sacrificar el estilo es posible. 

Although we have focused on highlighting “Dior sportswear”, there is one message that we cannot put aside: the incorporation of comfort into our daily outfits. With this new collection, Dior winks at the new generations who see fashion as a form of expression without sacrificing comfort and tranquility, but it is also one of the lessons that the pandemic left us, feeling at ease, without sacrificing style is possible.

LOUIS VUITTON

Nicolas Ghesquière nos sorprendió nuevamente con una propuesta optimista y llena de color. ¿La locación? Axe Majeur, una obra maestra escultórica realizada por el fallecido artista Dani Karavan, que está muy cerca de París. En este espacio, el agua, la luz, el aire y el acero crearon la relación perfecta entre la naturaleza y la moda. Les puedo decir que me fascinaron los minivestidos y los conjuntos de dos piezas, además de los estampados que también protagonizaron gran parte de la colección. ¡Ya quiero usar las botas altas y las nuevas bolsas de la maison!

Nicolas Ghesquière surprised us again with an optimistic and colorful proposal. The location? Ax Majeur, a sculptural masterpiece made by the late artist Dani Karavan, who is very close to Paris. In this space, water, light, air and steel created the perfect relationship between nature and fashion. I can tell you that I was fascinated by the minidresses and two-piece sets, as well as the prints that also featured in much of the collection. I already want to wear the high boots and the new bags!
