Stripes and beautiful backdrops in San Miguel...

Well, you must know by know that San Miguel de Allende is one of my fave spots in Mexico. It's a colorful pintoresque little town with hundreds of instagrammable backdrops... I must confess I loved San Miguel even before Instagram started, haha, so don't blame it on the pictures haha.

Weekend in San Miguel de Allende might by me fave holiday ever... true, there's no sand and palm trees... but amazing food and pretty corners is therapy for me. Having said that, I must confess I spend a lot of time trying to find cool and comfy outfit for weekends like this one... and I find myself getting back almost everytime to the same combo: denim shorts with any lightweight tee on top.

Well, that's a classic combo, but c'mon, I've used it a million times, and for this weekend, I wanted to try something else: long skirts. They work all day long, and as this one is 100% cotton, it's lightweight enough to be work perfect during the hot hours of the day, and long enough to cover me from the colder winds of the afternoon... and of course, the most important thing: it's got a bowtie in the front... so, what's not to love about it?

I must say I'm not telling you that denim shorts are not stylish enough... they are, the thing is that I always use them, and this long striped skirt is a cheap and stylish alternative too.

Buen lunes mis amores... cómo les fue en su fin? El mío gracias a Dios estuvo delicioso, porque tuve el chance de ir el fin a mi pueblo favorito: San Miguel de Allende.

Cada rincón, cada esquina, cada pared de color me encantan... y de la comida ni se diga, jaja. He probado creo todos los puestos de esquites, elotes y churros... y bueno, lo bueno de este lugar es que como todo es caminando... el ejercicio está asegurado, jaja.

Para este fin, decidí cambiarle un poquito a la ya clásica combinación de shorts de mezclilla con alguna blusa, y por eso decidí usar falda larga. Rayada en azul y blanco (como camisa de vestir de Pablo, jaja), 100% algodón (por aquello de los calores)... y una simple t-shirt blanca. Los tenis ya lo saben, mis favoritos... pero lo que me gustó de esta falda fueron dos cosas: primero, el moño que se hace en la parte de enfrente... y segundo, el largo. Estuve cómoda todo el día y hasta la noche que regresamos al hotel. De arriba me fui por lo básico: una chamarra de mezclilla y unos lentes grandes (ya me conocen), y debo decirles que usar esta falda fue una buena alternativa o para los jeans o para la falda o shorts de mezclilla... y no es que esto esté mal... simplemente, a veces es bueno cambiar.
