Styling black denim...#2

So we're mid-week already and we're doing the second part of the "styling black denim series"... cause black is always the new black, and black denim is one of my fave colors.
On Monday we talked about sytling black denim to make a statement with the shoes... black denims is the perfect neutral, so when we want all the attention to go to the shoes, it's the perfect solution.
Today, I'm telling you my second styling tip for black denim: use black denim to let the shirt shine! Nothing cries out loud "cold dayz are here" than a flannel lumberjack shirt. High-end brands as YSL have them for winter, and Old Navy has them for about USD15, so there's no excuso not to have one. The classic red is lovely shirt... it´s 100% huggable and warm for the colder days, and I goes so well with black denim. To be honest, I tried it also with blue denim, but as the shirt already has some black on it, matcing it with black denim was the perfect choice for me.
For this time, I used some silver booties (you know I love booties) and adding some color to the outfit has never hurt anyone, hehe. So, using black denim as a neutral, will distract the attention to other items in our outfit... this time I went for the classic lumberjacket shirt in black and red (not difficult not to notice), and as I created my outfit around this shirt, black denim was the natural choice. Just for the record, this time in San Francisco was the first time ever I bought one... but as I always encourage you: fashion is trying new things and having fun in the meantime.

Buen miércoles mis queridos!! Como va su semana? Cuéntenme!! Yo les platico que regresar a la rutina me ha costado un poquito de trabajo jaja... suena mi alarma y la apago cinco veces mínimo antes de poder levantarme. Además, regresé al ejercicio y todo el santo día traigo dolor en el cuerpo... pero bueno, como dicen por ahí... el cuerpo de verano se contruye en invierno.
Bueno, ahora hablemos del outfit. Como les conte en un post pasado esta semana les voy a compartir distintos outfits con los mismos jeans. La idea es que vean como se puede combinar con distintas cosas y como unos pantalones de mezclilla negros pueden ser tan versátiles. No creo que sea novedad para ustedes, pero ya saben que amo los pantalones de mezclilla y que amo el negro, por lo que es sumamente normal que tenga jeans negros, jaja. En esta ocasión, construí el outfit alrededor de la camisa... es algo nuevo para mí, pero esta camisa de "leñador" nunca pasó por mi cabeza comprarla... hasta que me di cuenta que era de franela (y para lo friolenta que soy), y me encanto cuando la toqué en la tienda jaja. La combiné con botines plateados, pero el objetivo principal de estas fotos fue que siempre se notara que la pieza central del outfit era la camisa... que por cierto, un rato la usé amarrada a la cintura y cuando enfrió la tarde, decidí ponérmela bien. Mi tip de hoy para ustedes es: si buscan que el outfit gire alrededor de un elemento colorido (como en este caso la camisa), pantalones de mezclilla negros siempre serán la mejor opción.
