Hello my loved ones! I can´t believe we´re almost mid year now. May flew by and although weather in Mexico is nuts, operation bikini is now going on and I´m almost ready for summer in the beach… well, I hope I can visit the beach this summer haha. Today By the way, I´m very thankful for you guys that always support me and read my madness… in just over a month, this site will have it´s firts anniversary party, haha, so we´re planning some cool givaways and celebrations for you guys, I really hope this will only be the beginning of a much cooler story.

So today´s post is for those of you that want a really comfy outfit for the weekend, just without the tomboy thing. I mean, I love to wear sweatpants and cap, and I´m all cool with that, but if I´m having lunch with my in-laws or at a pretty restaurant, it´s sometimes hard to find something comfy and chic at the same time.

As I have mentioned before, my outfit planning usually starts with the shoes and then with the pants or skirt. This time, I wanted to use my new suede derbies from Lacoste. You see, most of our shoes are always black or brown, but, c´mon, these gray beauties certainly were ready for a stroll.

As the climate in Mexico is absolute crazy, I went for some blue, tight, classic jeans and paired them with my hubs blue shirt. You know, there´s something I just love about it… using my hubs shirt not only makes me feel comfy but also I enjoy the idea of me wearing something he regularly uses. Now, here comes my fashion tip of the day; to prevent looking too wide, it´s always nice to use some belt and give the wide shirt a more femenine form.  As the shoes were absolutely perfect for walking around, I might just found a new kind of shoe that will become my favorite. It´s comfy, versatile and will look amazing with almost anything… right now, I´m thinking in culottes, long and short skirts, black denim, denim shorts and many, many other options that you might see soon in the blog.

For now, that will be all, but remember to have fun everytime you´re dressing yourself. Smile, and always dare yourself to try something new…for me, this time the gray derbies where my new thing.

“ Casi todo de hombre”

Bonito martes mis amores!!! Qué tal que ya casi estamos a mediados de año y la verdad es que se me ha pasado pero rapidísimo. Por cierto, me he dado cuenta que estamos a punto de cumplir un año con el blog y no puedo sino agradecerles a cada uno de ustedes su tiempo y apoyo…yo soy para ustedes y por ustedes y les cuento también que estamos planeando algunos concursos y festejos que pronto les contaré por aquí.

Bueno, como les he contado a veces, hay días en los que literalmente quisiera salir a la calle en pijama (por aquello de la comodidad, claro…). Ahora, como esto daría mucho de que hablar (y no creo que mucho bueno, jaja), siempre me encuentro con la dificultad de decidir mi outfit para esos días que uno quiere estar cómoda, pero al mismo tiempo presentable porque vamos a comer a algún lado o simplemente tenemos alguna cita o junta de trabajo. Este post es el caso, y como les he dicho antes, normalmente yo decido mis outfits en función a los zapatos. Para este día, quería estrenar unos zapatos tipo “derby”de Lacoste (que por cierto mi marido amó desde que los vió) en color gris. Sumamente combinables y cómodos, ideales para un dia en el que teníamos comida, luego había que tomar fotos y luego mi marido quería pasar la tarde viendo pasar gente en un café que nos encanta. Una vez decidido lo de los zapatos, luego empiezo hacia arriba. Falda me hubiera encantado, pero los climas en el DF son una locura y temía que lloviera, así que decidí unos pantalones de mezclilla ajustados, que por cierto, siempre ayudan a esconder nuestras imperfecciones, jaja. Lo combiné con una camisa azul de mi marido (ya saben que me encanta usar su ropa), y para que no pareciera que traía bata de laboratorio, decidí ponerle un cinturón para ayudar un poco a la figura.

Al final les cuento que no llovió, jaja, pero entonces me quedé con las ganas de usar estos zapatos con falda, con algunos pantalones anchos tipo “culotte”, con shorts de mezclilla o con algún vestidito coqueto. Acuérdense que la versatilidad siempre debe ser un componente muy importante en sus compras; siempre piensen en las opciones de combinaciones, así su compra les rendirá mucho más.

Ya ven que siempre las invito a probar algo nuego, algún tipo de zapato, alguna prenda que nunca hayan usado, alguna combinación que parezca imposible. Para mi, hoy fueron estos zapatos. Nunca había tenido unos así, y además de comodísimos, me resultaron chic y divertidos. ¿Quién dijo que las niñas siempre tenemos que traer tacones para vernos bien? Yo no lo creo, y es más, creo que estos zapatos se van a convertir de mis favoritos para las temporadas que vienen.

Por hoy me despido, pero antes les recuerdo que se diviertan, que sonrían, que prueben algo diferente y que se atrevan a ser diferentes.
